The many improvements in fuel consumption have been achieved with advanced fuel technology, an optimised fuel chamber contour for realising low NOx and low PM and central, uniform fuel injection spray.

The Komatsu SAA6D107E-1 produces 110 kilowatts or 150 horsepower. Although offering this greatly reduced fuel consumption, it fully meets PA Tier III and EU Stage IIIA emissions regulations.

Economy mode improves fuel consumption even further, with an eco-gauge for energy-saving operations with an operator caution to warn of extended idling. Komatsu develop and manufacture our own hydraulic system, pumps, electronics and engines. The design of these key components are closely matched to ensure each gives optimum performance when working together.

An economy mode is available to reduce fuel consumption, this is now variable to suit different working conditions.

An automatic warning appears on the monitor panel when the engine has been idling for 5 minutes.

An Eco gauge on the new monitor panel allows you to monitor and control the energy used during different operations. This means you can select the best working mode for each task.
